One of the 7 wonders of the world is the Hanging Gardens of the Babylon. The beauty of the gardens is that they are situated in ascending orders and water is supplied up to the top with no use of pumps and machines. Capillary action is the possible explanation of this gigantic capillary action. This can be read here in detail:

It is assumed the garden designers either made use of screw pumps or chain pumps for watering the hanging gardens But indeed it was complicated as they had to bare in mind to construct the garden in such a way that the water doesnt ruin the walls of the building in the process

This is why it is categorized as Wonder of The World, because the wonders are the works by human and if it is state of art than it is categorized as Wonder.

Oops! My bad. The hanging Gardens are the part of ancient Greek literature that signifies its existence in the country of Iraq and there is no archeological proof or even ruins are yet discovered right! How can than it be photographed.
